A player's level represents his or her power level and overall ability. Experience can be earned through various actions such as fighting monsters and completing quests.
In Cube World, there is no level limit; that means that you can level infinitely. However, this doesn't mean that players can become infinitely powerful. This is because a player's strength is based on their Power level, which has a maximum of 100. While a player's power level increases with each level, it does so logarithmically. In other words, leveling up from level 1 to level 10 will increase a player's power level more than leveling up from level 11 to level 20. The amount one's Power level increases per level decreases such that it will never exceed 100. Your level can go up forever, but your Power will not grow infinitely.
At the moment the only way to gain XP on Cube World is to kill enemies. Quests and/or events are planned for future updates.
The more you level up the faster the leveling is. The higher level mobs you are killing grant you more and more XP.
- The player will have the possibility to level endlessly, without feeling that they reached the end of the game!
- Power cannot be infinite! The game generates creatures of all level ranges (between 1 and 100), so the player will encounter monsters with his or her power.

Internal Formula for Leveling
Experience = (1050 * level - 50)/(level + 19)
This function makes the following graphs for the levels 1 to 200.
